Remuage!

Remuage: The periodic turning or shaking of bottled wine, particularly champagne, to move the sediment towards the cork.

Today I have placed 240 bottles of the 2022 harvest into the pupitre to start the process of remuage. This takes about two weeks and will lead me to the next stage which is disgorgement, corking and labelling ready for sale.

I am hoping to be at the Scarborough CAMRA Beer and Cider Festival on 11 April at The Corporation Club, Dean Road, Scarborough, YO12 7QS.
