Nature
Over the last ten years we have been rewilding our 33 acre farm in the North York Moors National Park.
We have created areas of new woodland and woodland pasture by planting 7,500 native, broadleaf trees.
As well as this we have created two wildlife ponds and a wetland area adjacent to the Black Beck river.
We have also planted two orchards of 500 traditional cider apple trees.
Cider
The first apple trees were planted in 2017 and they produced their first harvest in 2022.
As the trees become more established we will eventually produce up to 7,000 litres of cider and branch out into apple cider vinegar and apple juice.
The farm is fully Organic and registered with the Soil Association, we only use our own organic apples to produce the cider using the “Method Traditionelle”. This gives us a clear cider with a natural effervescence similar to the best sparkling wines.
Holiday Cottage
The final element of the farm is a two bedroom holiday cottage that can accommodate up to four people.
This is very popular with guests seeking a base from which to explore Dalby Forest, Scarborough and other local attractions.
After a day of exploring you can stroll around the farm checking out the local wildlife or simply relax in the Jacuzzi with a glass of our cider!
